Nexellence Institute
Inspiring young people through curiosity, creativity, and hands-on research
Summer 2026 Programs
Two locations, one mission: empowering the next generation of researchers and innovators
Nexellence ResearchCORE Summer Programs
In collaboration with Northwestern CTD
Northwestern University, Evanston Campus
June 28 – July 17 | Weekdays | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Residential option available
ResearchCORE Foundation Rising Grades 6–8
A three-week summer intensive introducing motivated middle school students to the foundations of academic research. Students learn to turn curiosity into structured inquiry through guided research seminars and hands-on data analysis.
What students will do:
- Frame testable research questions
- Design fair and ethical studies (observation, survey, simple experiments)
- Learn core concepts of sampling, consent, and research ethics
- Use Python to load, clean, and analyze real-world datasets
- Practice correlational analysis with appropriate caution about causation
Deliverables:
ResearchCORE Scholar Rising Grades 9–12
A three-week intensive for high school students preparing for advanced, research-based academic pathways. Students move from interesting ideas to defensible studies through structured research design and applied Python analysis.
What students will do:
- Develop a focused research proposal with a mini literature review
- Select quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods designs
- Build a data dictionary
- Clean, reshape, and analyze real datasets in Python (filter, group, join, reshape)
- Create publication-quality visualizations to support claims
Deliverables:
Nexellence ResearchCORE Beijing
International Summer Research Program
Beijing, China
August 2 – 14 | Weekdays | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Residential option available

Deliverables:
The ResearchCORE Three Pillars
Our curriculum is built on three interconnected pillars that prepare students for real-world research
Research Methods
Learn to frame testable questions, design ethical studies, and apply rigorous methodologies. From observation and surveys to quasi-experimental designs, students build a strong foundation in how research works.
Data Analytics
Hands-on training in data science, Python programming, machine learning, and AI skills. Students clean, reshape, and analyze real-world datasets to support evidence-based claims.
Scientific Presentation
Master the art of communicating research findings through structured memos, publication-quality visualizations, and formal research presentations that tell a compelling data story.
